Clinical Supervision

Dear potential supervisee,
I have played supervisory roles across my 20+ years career as a
psychotherapist and enjoy this immensely. I have had excellent supervision
myself and have learned so much from all of my supervisors – leading me to
believe it is an essential for all psychotherapists in practice. Whether you are
new to the practice (Qualifying) or have been offering psychotherapy for some
time and want a new fresh perspective in your work, I would be happy to
supervise you.
As your supervisor I will support you in many ways including:

  • Increasing psychotherapeutic competencies
  • therapeutic case conceptualization
  • practical matters related to all things psychotherapy and CRPO
  • handling intense client emotions
  • vicarious trauma
  • knowing the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of psychotherapy
  • finding and addressing your blind spots
  • knowing what your specific gifts are and ensuring you are offering these to clients
  • recognizing when your own personal psychotherapy work may be important
  • work/family/life balance, recognizing the impact being a therapist has on your life
  • recognizing burn-out and how to become healthy again
  • incorporating many realms into your psychotherapy practice

In addition, I will teach you all the best therapeutic tricks and tips that I’ve
accumulated across my career for you to begin using now with your clients. I
have a strong background in trauma processing and neurophysiology and will
certainly offer suggestions/learning from this orientation when appropriate.
Please reach out with any questions you may have or to book an initial
supervision session.
